Apprenticeship assessment
Through our awarding organisations, we deliver rigorous and supportive End-Point Assessment (EPA) services that ensure apprentices are fully prepared for the demands of their role. Our assessors are specialists in their industry who bring real-world experience to each assessment, helping apprentices demonstrate their competence with confidence. Through our two awarding organisations, we offer EPA services for over 45 apprenticeship standards.

Case study: Police Constable Entry Programme
The new SFJ Awards Level 5 Diploma in Professional Policing Practice, designed for recruits entering the workforce through the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP), aims to provide robust, nationally regulated recognition of recruits’ achievements. SFJ Awards developed this qualification with input from police forces and training providers, this qualification recognises the training and learning of new recruits. The diploma blends in-house learning with on-the-job training, covering key operational areas such as response, investigation, and community policing.
Case study: Strengthening social care in Northern Ireland
Social care in Northern Ireland’s largest workforce, with over 75,000 professionals. To meet rising demand, iCQ Awards launched three new qualifications aligned to regional apprenticeship frameworks and the Care in Practice model. These pathways promote career progression and embed essential skills for consistent, person-centred care. By investing in workforce development, we’re improving quality, empowering practitioners, and strengthening community resilience as well as supporting vulnerable individuals and building a healthier, more inclusive society.
Case study: Supporting safer communities with security qualifications
SFJ Awards are working in partnership with the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) to develop a Level 3, Ofqual-regulated qualification. With the working title of the Competent Person in the Workplace (CPiW), this qualification will be suitable for businesses looking for NaCTSO-endorsed, counter-terrorism specific protective security and preparedness training. The qualification is designed to help organisations design and develop suitable counter terrorism protective security and preparedness plans and mitigations.
